I'm French, so today I'm going to show you what music we listen to at French weddings. I will speak for myself, I have been in French and Christian marriages. The atmosphere is a festive atmosphere so we have to listen to lively music that makes you dance but also emotion, because a wedding is a party but a party full of emotions.

The first song  I'm going to talk about is the emotional song, the one we listen when the married just say yes to each other, a very emotional moment for everyone so we listen to this song named “ I love her to death” By Francis Cabrel, a  popular French singer from the 90s. This song shows to the groom or the bride how much they love each other. I personally  love this song because this song has gone through a lot of generations and no matter the year you were born everyone knows this song. Everyone can sing the song and enjoy the time that’s why this is the perfect song at this time.

The second song i got in mind is this one called “Sugar” by Marron 5. First of all, the music video clip is showing  a wedding. so I thought it was the perfect music to illustrate a wedding, even if it's English music, the French like it. This is the best music to have fun during a wedding and celebrate the bride and groom. Everyone is happy and everyone is having a good time. Wedding celebrations in France are really just big parties with food, lots of food, music, laughs, people you love. There are also serious moments at the church where the ceremony takes place. It's always a moment of sharing, of love, of meeting and a moment where everyone comes to have a good time and forget their everyday life.

To conclude I would say that these two songs are the perfect songs to celebrate a good marriage and this is how most weddings take place here in France. Make no mistake, we don't just listen to French songs, we also like to listen to music from different cultures, we love American music.
